The Skepchicks add a much-needed female perspective to the male dominated Skeptic movement. The Skepchicks are a group of women (and one man) who write about cool science news and the latest wacky pseudoscience claims on their site at http://skepchick.org/ In their own words, “With intelligence, curiosity, and occasional snark, the group tackles diverse topics from astronomy to astrology, psychics to psychology.”
I check their site every day and always learn something new. I enjoy their sense of humor as well as their unique points of view. They have Quickies, which are links to stories you won’t want to miss, as well as in-depth stories on current issues such as radiation.
There’s a great list of interesting blogs on their site and it is a good starting point if you’re just getting interested in skepticism or science.
The Skepchicks make me proud of my gender. I just wish we would hear as much about them as we do about Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin.
