Stuff I Love–The History of Knowledge

Skeptoid is a podcast I recently discovered and am enjoying very much.  It’s hosted by Brian Dunning and he describes it as “…a weekly science podcast dedicated to furthering knowledge by blasting away the widespread pseudosciences that infect popular culture, and replacing them with way cooler reality.”

Episode #250 is up now and it’s wonderful.  http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4250  It’s a ten minute musical exploration of how we’ve made sense of the world through the ages.  The lyrics are clever, the music is catchy and it’s just a bit depressing when you consider how far we still have to go.  What’s not to love about a song that includes the verse:

So let’s build a fire, and kill a goat,
and burn some virgins too!
And then good luck will come to us,
Our sun will see us through!
